Organelles & cellular energy
Mitochondria host key stages of aerobic cellular respiration and produce much of a eukaryotic cell’s ATP. Ribosomes synthesize proteins; lysosomes break down and recycle material. Energy supply supports many processes, but cells also have other metabolic pathways. Removing an organelle in a teaching model is not equivalent to a laboratory perturbation.
